Rocket City
Rainbow Pages

Somewhere to start when you need a doctor who won't flinch, a barber who gets it, a lawyer, a meal, or a room full of people like you.

Add a listing

This directory only stays true if people keep telling us what's changed. You don't have to leave your name.

Where this came from

The original Rocket City Rainbow Pages was built by Daniel Walker around the end of 2018. By 2022 the Huntsville Business Journal called it one of the most prominent local directories of LGBT-affirming organisations and businesses.

The original incarnation was very helpful — it's where I found my doctor, therapist, and eventual friend group.

It went offline sometime in 2023. In 2026 I noticed the domain was available and scooped it up to bring it back to some of its former glory.

What a listing means, and what it doesn't

Being listed is not an endorsement. Most of the medical and therapy entries come from ALTGO, whose standard is that a local person under the transgender umbrella visited the provider and had a good experience. That is community vetting. It is not a guarantee of current openings, insurance, competence for your particular need, or that nothing has changed since.

There are no reviews or ratings here, on purpose. A public review of an affirming provider in Alabama exposes both the person writing it and the practice, and one hostile review can make a small clinic decide it would rather not be listed at all. Tell us privately instead.

Listings are not an endorsement, a certification, or a guarantee of safety or professional competence.

Before you rely on anything here
